The recent extreme catastrophes and sadness caused to the people of the New Orleans area by hurricane "Katrina" has occupied the minds and thoughts of millions around the world over the last 7 days. Here is a brief Baha'i Prayer known as The Remover of Difficulties that has been used by millions over the last 160 years in times of extreme stress and difficulties, and is currently being said by many Bahai's worldwide on behalf of the "Katrina" victims, many who have lost family members and everything they possessed.
Is there any Remover of Difficulties save God?
Say praised be God. He is God.
All are His servants and all abide by His bidding.
Say: God sufficeth all things above all things
and nothing in the heavens or the earth but God sufficeth.
Verily, He is, in Himself, the Knower, the Sustainer, the Omnipotent.
- The Bab (The Gate)

These prayers are often repeated aloud 500 times, in times of extreme calamity.
Hope this helps you. Our heartfelt prayers and thoughts are with you all.
